Today, the Group is reinventing the entire shipping experience to provide a seamless maritime, ports and logistics service that exceeds all expectations.


This position reports directly to the Managing Director for the Netherlands for CMA CGM and will be an integral member of the Senior Management team in country.The post holder will be responsible for the performance of a sales department of around 48 FTE.


The mission for the Sales Director will be to put in place a strategy to build and sustain a pipeline for the short and medium term and develop solid partnerships with new accounts and partners. To develop and to deliver profitable sales, as well as lead and motivate the sales team. The initial key task will be to review the existing sales strategy, determine what changes are needed and gain buy in to the required changes from the Head Office and across the organization. The Sales Director will also need to lead the sales team and provide appropriate leadership and staff development. In particular this role will help the department to drive an increase in the volumes and revenues in both reefer and special cargo.

Functie eisen

This role will require the following skill set:

Ability to lead and manage a large team and deliver through others

Have a strong track record of sales management in a similar large scale shipping/maritime setting

Able to excel in building relationships in a complex organization

Can demonstrate a strategic mindset and outstanding stakeholder management capability

Offer fluency in English along with other languages e.g. Dutch or French would be a plus
